We have sent a patch out to Valve to be released shortly. Included are several performance changes and map fixes. We will also be releasing the full SDK for everybody to download and begin to work with.
Change log:
Map Balance
- Reduced Elite Riflemen and Assault roles on all maps.
- Fixed various spawn camping issues on all maps.
- Apartments - Added additional allied spawn after capturing the first set of objectives
- Barracks - Fixed an exploit that allowed you to get into a wall
- Fallen Fighters - Added missing spawn on squad leader spawns to sewers and trenches
- Grain Elevator - Added a spawn for the Allies that is on the 4th floor. This for when the allies are defending the Foothold
- Spartanovka - Fixed a issues with spawn protection incorrectly showing up when one of the objectives was captured in the 16 player version. Also fixed an Allied spawn not working correctly on the 16 player version.
Performance/Stability
- Reduced the fps hitch during first spawn
- Improved the frame rate smoothing video setting to give more stable FPS
- Fixed memory spike when changing teams in the role selection menu
- Improved physics performance (removing another cause of hitching)
- Fixed a crash when device was lost
Other
- Fixed a wall exploit while leaning
- Satchel objectives can now be 'captured' by destroying the target
- Fixed getting kicked for idling if the server has set MaxIdleTime when reinforcements have run out, or when dead in countdown mode.
- Fixed momentary green scope texture when taking over a bot with a sniper scope.
- Fixed a bug where tank crew members would be invisible the first time they unhatch from the driver seat
- Tank geometry should no longer disappear after being killed as a tank crewman
- Several problems with the hero rank have been addressed (Enemy loadout weapons not showing up, losing hero status after death, UI refinements, etc...)
- Launching the game the first time will add a setting, HUDTipsLevel, to ROGame.ini. Changing this will reduce the amount of text tips that appear on the HUD (0 - All Tips, 1 - Moderate Tips, 2 - Few Tips). Looking for feedback and later on we may add it as a menu option.

- Added Team Deathmatch versions of several maps.
- Re-worked the method for team switching to fix intermittent server crashes.
- Re-worked how the MG42 is aimed and operated.
- Nerfed the Microraptor's spit attack. No longer does instant-kill on head shots, poison effect wears off after 6 seconds.
- Flamethrower bug when used on a T-Rex is fixed.
- Fixed team join message when joining spectators.
- Fixed viewmodel sometimes being visible when switching to spectators.
- Made low-health effect (heartbeat and screen pulse) temporary.
- cl_drawhud now can be used to turn off the HUD.
- Closed exploit where Microraptor could get access to Allied spawn on Depot.
- Closed exploit where Microraptor could spit into Allied spawn on Troina.
- Fixed menu loadout z-depth issue (clicking on background caused icons to disappear)
- Fixed bug when trying to punch with a right click.
- Fixed bug when firing flamethrower with right mouse button.
- Fixed point getting awarded to Medic when they apply a heal to a teammate with less than 50% health.
- Fixed various point exploits relating to suicides
- T-Rex suicide point exploit fixed.
- Sticky bomb icon back on Joe's loadout menu.
Schon im Vorfeld der Veröffentlichung von Battlefield 3 gab es kritische Stimmen von Nutzern, die mit den weitreichenden Rechten, die sich EA in dem EULA und in der Datenschutzerklärung des Dienstes Origin einräumen lässt, nicht einverstanden waren. Ein genauerer Blick darauf zeigt, dass durchaus Sprengstoff darin enthalten ist.
Die Seite gamestar.de hat nun offenbar einen einschlägig bewanderten Anwalt namens Thomas Schwenke mit der Prüfung dieses Vertragswerkes beauftragt, welcher zu einem durchaus beachtenswerten Ergebnis kam. In der von ihm untersuchten Version dem EULA fanden sich zahlreiche Bestimmungen, die entweder den Anforderungen der deutschen Rechtsnormen betreffend der Verwendung von AGB durch Unternehmen im Verhältnis zu Verbrauchern nicht entsprechen oder aber den Bestimmungen des Wettbewerbsrechtes, der Datenschutzregelungen, der Zivilprozessordnung und dem Telemediengesetz nicht Genüge tun.
Valve spendiert dem auf der Source-Engine basiertem Spiel "Dino D-Day" ein kostenloses Contentupdate,
enthalten sind eine neue Map und jeweils zwei neue Klassen auf Seiten der Axenmächten, sowie Waffen- und Klassenupdates bei den Alliierten.

- Added the Compsognathus to the Axis team. Lurk in the shadows, take the enemy out with the grenade strapped to your back!
- Added the Microraptor to the Axis team. Soar over the battlefield searching for a victim. Use your poison spit to disable him and then sneak in for the kill!
- Added the Flamethrower as an alternate loadout for Nigel on the Allied team. With more dinosaurs about you'll need something to torch them with!
- Added the M1 Carbine and Grease Gun as alternate loadouts for Hardgrave and Joe on the Allied team. Make sure you choose the right gun for the job!
- Added Capture Point game mode. A multiplayer classic!
- Added brand new Sicily map - cp_troina. Battle over five strategic points in a war torn Sicilian town!
